Re: North Woods Law

Can't get over the show where the Maine GW explained to the hunter who lost his deer how an arrow keeps accelerating after leaving the bow, and since the deer was so close it didn't get good enough penetration. Maybe the tiny jet engine in the arrow didn't ignite properly...who knows :) Yeah,oh yea...

Re: MI DNR Approach to CWD .. Pandora's Box!!

I forwarded the video and watched the first one. Then part of the 2nd. I did watch the Tackett calls portion. Very cool I wonder if this Tackett feller is the one RedArrow uses his calls for turkey hunting??? Billie? Yes. One and the same. Good guy ,makes great calls. It was cool seeing him on TV.

Swage your bullets to 0.0005 under bore diameter and throw the sabots in the trash.

Magic happens.
I'm not familiar with swageing . How does one do that. With out the sabot will the bullet still engage the rifling.

Based on ICEDEDTURKES recommendation I tried the Harvester sabots. Haven't shot them yet but they loaded much easier.

I used them awhile back and switched to Barnes and they gave me better groups. I just ordered the Harvester sabots that Tom suggested I try. Hope they work out.

Re: 870 Slugs 20 gauge

Before switching to a rifled barrel I liked the Brenneke rifled slugs. Something to remember if you are not familiar with slug guns and barrels is rifled slugs in smooth bores, and saboted slugs in rifled barrels.
