Re: Bobwhite SxS sights
Flat base 860 is the best option it seems. I ordered mine in black gold so the peep is actually brass, easy to pick up in low light

Doc do you use the aperture in your sight or take it out for your turkey setups? I ordered over the phone and he’s sending the extra large one for me

I can’t wait to use mine next spring. The skinner peeps have elevation and windage or just windage?

Bobwhite SxS sights
I know most people run the skinner peep and marble post sights I’m curious about sight parallax on the iron sights since I’m used to a red dot. I know they’ll be some because you have to line up the peep with the front sight properly but compared to a red dot how hard is it to make quick shots when ...

Went to Durango hunting last year and I’m going back again this year. Felt safe the whole time just go with an outfitter that’s been down there a while.

Re: March hunting in next few years
I don’t think it’s a habitat issue the states just need to adjust the seasons and limits to the increased hunting pressure. You can’t have the same seasons today as you had 20 years ago and expect things to stay the same. More people equals more turkeys being killed so you have to adjust the seasons...

I don’t know about Alabama but here in LA you can get a restocking application and if you meet the requirements they will release wild birds to help with repopulation.

Don’t be afraid to drive and hit multiple spots in a day if it’s possible. Turkeys in that part of the country usually have a roost sight they go to every day then fly down and may go a LONG way to a farm or somewhere with feed. Don’t be upset if they leave the property just go try some other spots ...

Re: 20 gauge 7x9 Duplex TSS
Most people stack the bigger shot on top because it doesn’t slow down as fast as the smaller shot so it patterns better that way. As far as patterns go mine always look the same as far as the size and evenness go the numbers change based on how many pellets you put in the shell. Basically and 7x9 l...

It definitely muffles the sound a little bit I don’t think it hurts to much. The best thing to use on your hands is to burn a wine cork and rub the ashes on your hands. Comes off easy and is doesn’t leave a greasy feeling

Prescribed burn effect
One of my favorite places to hunt is being burned and I’m a little nervous about what the birds will do with the season starting in a week. Does anybody have experience hunting a fresh burn? I’ve hunted areas that have been burned in the past but not this fresh. Just curious if the birds will stick ...

Re: Gulvas mouth calls
I hunt with his Masters choice, very realistic sounding call once you get it down and it will have the wrap in it if you want it. it's a more natural rasp, not so monotone in the break over like a red wasp I had the best results bringing air up from the diaphragm like you are fogging a mirror. ther...
