Steelhead (rainbow) is the best tasting fish in Lake Michigan.. ‘cepting for perch! The walleye is right up there too..
Walleye is about as good a fish to eat as any

Only thing better is bluegill through ice

Tough time of the year for a turkey dog. Mine is climbing the walls, too hot to run much. They want to hunt 10X worse than we do.
One of these falls I will get to watch a turkey dog work

Would be a high lite in my turkey season

Steelhead & tastes like lobster

My cousin took his daughter and future soninlaw up to Lake michigan on a charter. Caught 160lbs of steelhead (filets weighted 160lbs) My dad had seen a video of a feller who said he can make steelhead taste like lobster. Man that guy wasn't kidding guy said to take a peeled tater and chunk it up, la...

Re: Fall season can’t come fast enough

No fall season in GA. May have to make a trip over to AL around Thanksgiving. I saw a line of tracks the other day that looked like a gobbler strutting for a jenny. :o we have a Oct1 2 week shotgun season and a lengthy late bow season. Hope I can connect with a wily old gobbler with my Tominator sh...

Re: Pics of Invector plus patterns IC .665 TSS?

I would bet .665 IC in Invector Plus would be ridiculous tight or maybe even blown. I would try a .675 IC or ask them to make a .680 for you. I like the .680 Carlson's in my INV+. It is. With 1.75 ounces of T8’s my Maxus runs 250-265. I bought a SumToy 672 to try when it cools off a little would lo...

Re: Tree stand score!

Best stand ever in my mind was aerospace technologies, it was an aluminum stand 6 lbs. All you hung was a chain with 2 foam balls. Chains we're about 20 bucks, climb up in morning, and place stand between balls. Took 2 seconds to get ready in morning. It was great for public as who's gonna steal a ...

Re: Tree stand score!

Those were good stands back in day I say their as good today as any out there. I have two of the Loggy Bayou aluminum stands and after owning some of the cheaper versions (all metal) I feel that they cant be beat. for weight and size of the platform. I just got to find a good spot to hang this one....

Tree stand score!

Bought an API alumilok real cheap. $20 bucks And it’s in excellent shape. Will be upgrading the strap to a chain and padlock it to a tree for this fall. I also will add bolt on hardware to attach a strap to tighten the bottom of the stand to the tree eliminating wiggle and squeaks. http://i155.photo...

I always thought that the hot pink would defy stand out enough if it popped off you would be able to find it.

I shoot hot pink fletchinga on a pink and white wrap. Absolutely can see them streak through the air and see exactly where impact is on a deer turkey etc
