Re: Stevens 555 ?

My buddy in OK shoots one now and I can tell you it’s a featherweight. And I can also tell you it’s a shooting mother F’er. His puts 390 hits in the 10” at 40 yards with my hand loads. Sorry should have said his is a 20 ga

Re: Are turkeys going the way of the quail

Ok fellas, here’s my $.02. This is just an opinion but it is based on 35 years of turkey hunting and the last 20 of it has included extensive travel. I usually hunt 5-8 states per year and try to hunt at least one new to me area per season. My home base from 1998-2017 was in an area of NC that had e...

Re: Mossberg SA-20 build finished

I would think the back of the receiver would be the same size so it may not require any modification

Re: Mossberg SA-20 build finished

I wish I could remember the ladies name but she was very helpful and never asked me for a serial number or anything like that. It was $75 and $10 to ship it to my door.

Re: Mossberg SA-20 build finished

The lady at Weatherby was very helpful. She said it was a perfect fit on their sa-08 and I just took a chance knowing the sa-08 and the mossy are close to identical. It was an absolute perfect fit. The folks at Mossberg we’re clueless because it is made in Turkey. It’s a great feeling little gun. I ...

Mossberg SA-20 build finished

Ok fellas, here it is. Was originally gonna build this thing for the fiancé but after getting it finished it looks like I’m gonna be buying another one! LOL. Just so everyone knows, the pistol grip is a Weatherby and was an exact fit with no mods! I added a Burris FF III and a Carlson’s .575 choke. ...

Mossberg sa-20 turkey

Finally decided on the gun for the misses. She'll be shooting 1 5/8 tss #9. Has anyone done enough testing to recommend the best choke? I know it uses the benelli/Beretta chokes but I need some help on the best choke. Thanks fellas

Pistol grip stock

Ok fellas, I am trying to build a turkey gun for my fiancé and I’m leaning towards the Mossberg sa-20 or weatherby sa-08 in 20 ga. Is there anyone who makes a pistol grip stock that will fit either gun? My understanding is they are virtually the same gun. Any help is appreciated

Re: Early Fathers Day

First off try the full that came with it. With the extra barrel length you may not even need a "turkey choke".

Re: New here

I'm in Person county. Tough season around here. Our numbers are way down. Don't really know what the problem is but it has gotten to the point of being critical in my opinion. 25 years ago my county and Caswell were just covered up in birds. These were also two of the counties in NC that birds were ...

New here

New member here, just wanted to say hi from NC. I joined here because there seems to be a lot of folks on another site that frown on us that load tss. I can't for the life of me understand people that think extending your killing range is a bad idea. Hell, I like to kill em at 20 yds as much as anyb...
