Re: advantages of a trumpet
I agree, brother. Most folks ain’t gonna put in the time to learn the trumpet. Although it’s not nearly as hard as folks try to make it ( me included). Once someone hits it just right, they realize that less is more as far as lip pressure and air draw. I don’t agree with your last statement tho, you...

Re: advantages of a trumpet
Will more people look into trumpets as a result of Dave's latest video? Sure. But, I believe the price tag of a high end trumpet will discourage most from actually buying one. I also believe the majority of folks who buy trumpets will be ready to sell them within a week once they realize they sound...

Great patterns. I think you miscounted the 20" on bottom target. Looks like a lot more than 99 to me. Unless I'm reading that wrong.

Re: Killed my first tss bird
In my setup and with the load I'm shooting, about 10". But if someone plans on shooting at any range over 50, they need to check their gun/load drop at different yardages. Yea, it shocked me... Or calculate it. I plugged your load into KPY Shotshell and got the drop of the shot. If zeroed at 5...

Re: Killed my first tss bird
Just curious as to what kind of drop you were seeing at that range. A lot of people won't believe that you can get full body penetration by those little TSS BBs. In my setup and with the load I'm shooting, about 10". But if someone plans on shooting at any range over 50, they need to check the...

Re: Killed my first tss bird
73 yds. Again, I knew what my equipment will do at that range. I would not suggest anyone attempting this without shooting at that distance at a large target, and a scope or red dot is a must. The pattern is dropping a good bit at that distance. I also shoot a leupy scope, with turkey plex. I knew w...

What's the rule on discussing any distance a bird is shot? Is there a max distance at which we can talk about here?

Killed my first tss bird
yesterday mornin. He was a 2 y/o that I had called up for a buddy first weekend of season, and he missed. The turkey wouldn't close the distance as close as I'd liked him to, but I knew how far he was( had ranged a spot of grass close to where he was standing when it got light enough to check some r...

Re: Would like your strategy for one place I hunt
Is there a pond in the field? Where are ther getting water? If they are hitting only one source, you could set up close by if cover is available. I've also had luck with field birds by setting up on a wooded or thickly vegetated point out in the field. Have you set up on the inside corner of the L? ...
