Re: Benelli M2 Pistol grip stock
I have one on my M2 20ga. I added a traditional sling swivel stud because I sometimes remove my sling in certain set up situations. I have had no problems at all.

Re: Benelli compact 20
I will try something in the .585 range and see what I come up with. I hate to completely abandon the 20ga, but dang - after shooting the 12 at 60.......I’ll try to post a pic.

Re: Benelli compact 20
Shot the modified choke this weekend. A 40 yard shot would be the limit. Put the full choke back in and shot at 20 yards. Grapefruit size pattern at best. Not sure what direction I’ll take from here. I’m leaning back toward my old 12ga over/under. Is shot a pretty amazing pattern at 60 yards with a ...

Been busier than usual. I’m in the fireplace business. Haven’t been able to shoot the modified choke yet. I’ll try to update maybe this weekend.

Thanks gentlemen. Gonna try to shoot again next week. I may be the only turkey hunter I know using a modified choke in a 20ga to turkey hunt

Benelli compact 20
Shot the factory full choke at 40 yards yesterday. Two targets at 40 yards with 1 5/8 oz #9 tss. 340 in 10” on one and 333 in 10” in the other. Most of the entire pattern was 14” diameter. Is this common with factory full? I got rained out and couldn’t shoot the modified choke to see what it would d...

Re: Always Looking to Improve...need advice
That calling will absolutely kill turkeys. Sounds fine to me and likely will to turkeys. Just remember to make him “hunt” you instead of you hunting him and you will be fine. It’s a cat / mouse game. Silence, after he is interested, can be your best friend.

Re: Remington news..
Someone could take the 700, Model 7, 870, and versions of the 1100 - all new retooling - modernized offerings with minor modifications and have the core of a solid company. They could use a new, modern semi auto in 12 and 20. Stick to hunting variations and window dressings. It wouldn’t take long to...

Gil, I do not disagree with the direction of your post at all. One point I would make is - if our government, as an institution, had a better recent history of competence and integrity the populace might have more trust toward their directives. I won’t bore anyone with examples. They are too many to...

Killed one this year in central Alabama. He had the whole bottom shut down from gobbling. I sat down on him at 6:30AM and shot him at 9:30 AM. I thought he must have some weapons for spurs until I walked up to him. Both legs slick. 19lbs. 10 3/4” beard.

Huntinsomd - were you able to get the sling attachment and the spring tube plug for the steady grip? Everywhere I looked they were out of stock.

Choke suggestions please
I just ordered a M2 Compact. Any suggestions for a choke to get a solid, even 20” pattern at 40 are welcome. I will likely shoot a TSS, 2 3/4”, 1 5/8oz 9s hand load. I just rarely need a 60 yard gun where I hunt. 15 to 35 yards are much more common. Thanks in advance!

Re: Thanks for nothing
Received my Texas license and tags in the mail. Four of us were driving about 13 hours Friday. All four of us are small business owners. The decision was made this morning to either delay, or cancel the trip. Employees and nervous elderly family to consider. Maybe later this year, or next year......

Re: Rockhounds Tennessee Twister Pattern
I’m shooting an 870 with the hevi-shot choke (.675). Awesome hunting pattern! 589? In a 20” at 40. The twister is my best 12 ga load so far.

Re: Choke tube constriction? (Rem. Super Full)
.675 unless they changed it over the years. They offered that choke, if my memory is correct, the second year they loaded hevi-shot. I have one in an 870 as a back up gun. It shoots 2 oz of tss very nicely.

Re: Barrel regulation
I answered your pm. That's very normal for a sxs to shoot tss in that manner - left barrel shoots left and right barrel shoots right. A lighter load will probably not be as far off, and a file will usually move the pattern so that both barrels shoot to same poi. Your gun was designed to shoot field...

Barrel regulation
I have a side by side the barrels shoot one foot horizontally apart at 38 yards. Can that be fixed by filing the choke, or is it too much to overcome? I want to keep one barrel for tight constriction (longer shots) and one barrel open for closer shots. Any suggestions are welcome. 8B20A613-4022-49DF...

Charles Daly 20ga coach gun build
Is there a reasonable way to attach red dot optics to these guns? Does anyone have any experience with both barrels shooting to point of aim on these guns? Logic says two barrels, with a barrel selector or two triggers, makes sense for turkeys. One tight choke and one open for close shots. I have no...
