Re: Remington 870 16ga advice

William at Sumtoy made me a 16ga choke for my Remington 870 back in February of 2013. He broke an expensive drill bit making it (sorry William)! I’m pretty sure it’s a .615 restriction. I can’t recall the pellet count but I think I was getting mid-300s in the 10. Hal and Precision Reloading helped ...

Ooooh, good one. Congrats. But there is a new rule on deer size. 1st shot no deduction. Starting with the second shot there is a 50% deduction with each additional pull of the trigger on antler score and body weight. :LMAO: :LMAO: Nice buck Brice!!! .243 or a 6mm can be bad news for a deer with the...

I bought a Carlson's extended .585
We'll see how that goes, but if I could get a 300/300 ish pattern at 40 yards that will be great.
Bet you will get a heck of a thump too!!! But the good thing is the bps is a heavy gun to absorb some of the recoil!!! Good luck!

Re: Remington 870 16ga advice

I have the same gun, and shot it with a comp n choke.615, and it was way to tight for my liking. I would get a SumToy .630, and you should be at 300 + in the 10” at 40 yards with tss 9’s.
