Re: What do I think

Some of the most enjoyable hunting content out there. They don't claim to be the best. The boys just like to hunt and have a good time. That is what it is all about and what so many other shows lack.

Re: Opening day in OK

Rolled another one today. 72 steps with apex #9 out of the 20. I had to step it off three times to make sure I wasnt going nuts! Note: I did not intend nor do I ever intend to shoot at a bird 70 yards away. I estimated 50 yards which I know my gun/choke combo can perform consistantly. https://uploa...

I used to do it this way until I got an Instant Pot. Same end product, but quicker and tastes a bit better to me. Rub favorite seasoning on outside of thighs, add 1 cup broth to pot. Cook on high for 1hr then let natural release. Simple and delicious!

Watched a coyote sneak up within 60 yards of a bachelor group a few weeks ago. They putted once at him, coyote knew it was busted and it just turned and left. ha

After a few more folks get shot, hopefully more state agencies will start looking to outlaw it.

Re: Binos for turkeys

I just bought a set of Maven 7x28s and really like them. I own a pair of Viper HD 10x42s but did not need anything near that big for the woods. Wanted someone light and compact and the Mavens fit the bill perfectly. The Vipers will now strictly be 'truck' glass for me.

Re: Ghost blinds

I'll never forget the first time I saw the vendor peddling these. They had a booth at the NWTF convention showing a video on loop of a guy crouched behind one walking right up to a flock of turkey in a wide open field and shooting the gobbler. Couldn't help but wonder how many 'takes' it took to get...

40-50 percent rate of CWD infection in Wisconsin bucks I guess my internet search tool is less efficient than yours !
It is not statewide, but in their 'hot zone'.

And here ya go:

Re: Cheap red dot options

I went the cheap route and then the “best value” route before I finally learned not to screw around with sights. I don’t even want to get into the heart ache. Buy the best optic you can buy. This. Hard lesson to learn, but I have a lot of experience in the subject. Never go cheap on optics. If you ...

Had mine done by Black Dove Customs, no issues. Most companies will have a disclaimer saying they are not responsible for any damages caused by coating the scope. So I assume there is a slight risk.

Re: Turkey Beard Displays

I'm very meticulous when it comes to my beards and spurs. I like to keep the items from each turkey together, as well as the hull to the shell that accomplished the deed. On the hull I attach a label with information on the hunt. Gobbler #, date, location, time, etc.. Here is my display from spring ...
