Re: Alps grand slam turkey vest
That’s a good price for a heck of a vest, you can always remove the seat frame and just run the bare vest…

Re: New Trumpets
Yeah, that nickname came about when I went to Kansas pheasant hunting and my buddy’s dad ,who raised cattle, at dinner one night said I was a good guy but I looked a little “wormy”…said I could probably use a little Ivermectin— after that nobody on that hunt called me Rick anymore… But you can call ...

New Trumpets
My name is Rick James from Augusta Georgia and I have been building box calls and scratch boxes as a hobby since 2005 and hunting turkeys since the early 80’s. I retired from the Power company 2 years ago and decided I would try my hand at trumpets. I have a couple posted over on the classified’s fo...

Sound Files??
Is there a certain file extension required for uploading sound files? I have used Youtube but would rather use a voice recorder, which are much smaller files, so I can also send these same files via a text message--Or do you have to have special permission in order to post sound files?
Thanks, Rick

Sumtoy FF/Venom mount
For those who have any experience with the Sumtoy FF/Venom mounts--Is the bottom of the mount rounded all the way or is there a flat spot where it would mate up to the top of the reciever?
Looking to put one on a Franchi Affinity 3 which does not have a flat spot on top of the receiver.
Thanks, Rick

Re: The beauty of Tungsten shot......
Awesome story, it is great to see these young ones getting out there and being successful!! Since all the kids in my family have bout grown all up, right now for me the beauty of TSS lies in being able to carry these small lightweight guns and be just as lethal as I could with the 3.5 inch BPS. Its ...

Re: Red Dot Mount for 870
Thanks Pullit, I can't tell from the pic if yours is the same as mine--mine has a distinct shallow flat groove on top of the receiver that is the same width as the rib: http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa311/rmjames_photo/3689b9db-72bb-4fe5-8eeb-eaeb7b724c82.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/...

Red Dot Mount for 870
Hey guys, I have an older 870 SP Turkey gun that is NOT drilled & tapped and I want to add (drill&tap) a mount/rail to the receiver for a red dot sight. This gun has a shallow flat groove on top of the receiver that is just a hair (or a skosh) under 5/16" wide--What rail or weaver mount...

Re: Kansas Roads??
I agree with Stinky--(Jewell, Republic, Mitchell, Cloud)--I've hunted these counties and that black dirt is like Red Georgia clay on steroids and i'm convinced it has some type of Superglue in it. If it dries on something you will need a wire brush to get if off!
