Yep actually have 2 hunts that come to my mind! #1 the chance to take my buddy's son (age 9) with me on a multi-state 4 day hunt. Every thing fell into place and the turkeys just read the script perfectly it was like I couldn't do anything wrong in those 4 days. 10 long beards total met thier demise...

Silent birds are the toughest! Most people get up and move too early only to bust the turkey that was coming to the call.

What Prospector said and don't get discouraged. Also try and call them in without making them gobble too much. Biggest thing make sure you have fun while out there! Good luck !

I like the quiet ones that never gobble and just slip in while a stupid young one is gobbling hard and closing the distance. Them quiet ones usually had quite the daggers on thier legs.

They fly good but I chose to go with the spitfire Maxx with 2" cut seemed to work better for me.

I can garentee its older than 2 if thier spurs are 1.5"+ sharp and curved.

I have a 18.5" barrel on one gun i turkey hunted with and didn't care for the recoil or the muzzle blast on it. It also seemed too whippy when having to shoot a moving gobbler. So I switched back to a 22" barrel and prefer it much more.

I hate to throw them stinking things in my truck bed. Sure as heck wouldn't put one inside a vehicle!

If a limited resource is being over used it needs to be limited. I really like the over the counter states but not all good things last forever.
