Re: Blackstone Griddle

That's the size I have been considering with the side burner. Its been tempting me too pull the trigger on it. Just hard to get away from my 12" castiron.

Re: New member

#9s will break wing bones at 60+ yds but lack sufficient penetration to body shoot them and hit chest vitals at that distance.

Re: New member

I have killed numerous Canada's at extended ranges and some specks and snows also. 7s seem to do pretty well out to 60yds body shooting them. If you need to kill further than that up your payload and use 6s or 5s if body shots. If your planning on head/neck and breaking wings I would use a heavy pay...

Have killed one with no spurs. Very next bird on that farm had double spurs. 1.5" and .5" on each leg.

I am seeing more people on public ground hunting than in years past. What used to be weekend numbers of hunters are now every day of the week.

Re: Turkeys with a bow???

Have used the bullhead and fixed blades but have gone back to mechanicals just have had better experiences with them. I shoot anywhere between 3-7 birds a year with them and still like the end results with the mechanicals.

Re: new to turkey hunting

Best thing to do is forget hunting turkeys all together! In all honesty it's a sickness like no other to some people once they are hooked! Scout, scout, and scout some more! Wake up listen and watch the turkeys habits that's step one. Be courteous to other hunters and be safe. Been hunting these Mis...

935 I was a skeptic at first and first started loading a tss 12ga 2oz load and after patterning and killing at extreme ranges I went to 20ga and am fine with range and patterns it gives me they are plenty long distance. I can make 10 shells per pound of tss and only cost $5 per shell. I also take my...

Re: Scope vs Red Dot????

Foam to the comb may just be your best answer. Cheek weld is very important no matter what sights you would use. Good luck with the boys practice wont hurt one bit either and should be fun too.

Re: Scope vs Red Dot????

A little magnification is nice some times in wide open county! Have shot scopes and killed running gobblers and flying Canada geese not as fast as a red dot to acquire target but it can be done. The vortex venom is way faster if trying to find a running/flying target. Both are quite easy to use when...

Re: 3 day hunt, 13 coyotes and 2 bobcats!

Very nice! I really like the spotted cat belly picture. We went out this evening since it got clear skys with snow on ground but fog bank rolled in and hindered the visibility for us. Could hear them bark and yip at us inside of 200yds but couldn't see to kill. Keep the pictures coming!
