Re: Drill and tap Benelli 28gauge
Guys, I have a top for an Ethos 28 that’s been drilled and tapped by Rob Roberts that I would sell if one of y’all are interested. It has a mount for a Vortex on it. FYI, the top fits the Ethos 20 or 28 gauge. The job is clean and mount is rock solid. I wouldn’t hesitate to hunt it at all. I had it ...

Re: 20ga O/U BUILD IDEAS
I’m on my second Browning Micro Midas 20 gauge, because I let someone talk me out of my first one. I won’t call any names, but he used to shoot 870s. I run a Jeb’s 560 in the top pipe and a Carlson Light Modified in the bottom pipe. I ran fiber optic sights on the first one clamped to the rib and on...

Re: Benelli 28 gauge
I recently sold a Benelli Legacy to a friend that had to have it. I liked it so much that I went and upgraded to the new Benelli Ethos. What a fine bird hunting gun. My dad recently informed me that he would be needing it from now on every pheasant season to carry to South Dakota on our annual hunt....

Re: Alright Fellas
Gobbler lounger is by far the way to go. Let's you bend your knees. Gets you up off the wet ground. Has a nice back rest. No tree needed. Keeps you from slouching. Keeps you from sliding down a slope. I bought one and used it and thought "damn why I haven't I done this already." Won't leav...

Haven't seen or heard of that. I ended up having mine drilled and taped for a rail.

I have been kicking around having Rob Roberts dip some stuff for me. What's the deal with them. I've not seen any of his work so I don't know.

Re: Which 28ga is most popular
Don't look Hal I'm thinking really strongly about some Mossy Oak Bottomland. But I might also get them done in Mossy Oak Obsession. I like the green in the obsession pattern. I think I will have the new 28 dipped as well as my little youth model Citori 20ga that I like so much. I have been using the...

Re: Which 28ga is most popular
Want over rides a lot of stuff. Especially hunting and shooting stuff. Don't worry about my end. I welcomed the advice and experience. Before its done I will probably end up with an over/under and have the chamber reamed for the 3" shell. I'm only an hour or so away from Rob Roberts and I bet h...

Re: Which 28ga is most popular
I have a couple reasons for the 3" 28ga. The first is that every TSS load I have rolled for a Benelli gave me fits feeding. If I try to roll 3" loads for a 3" only 12ga they don't feed. My M2 20 gave me fits trying to get the Big20XL load to feed every time. I would run the 2 3/4"...

Re: Which 28ga is most popular
I think I am going to wait on the new 3" Benelli Ethos to become available. Fiocchi will be making the ammo for it and I think there will be more flexibility with TSS with the 3" load. What are some thoughts from you 28ga veterans??

Re: Which 28ga is most popular
I have a Benelli Legacy 28 already but it's too pretty to dip or camo to hunt with, and too shiny to turkey hunt with. I may trade it off and get a plain jane ultralight and go from there. Is there a particular one that tends to pattern better on average or what?? I still have some reservation about...

Which 28ga is most popular
I am kicking around getting into the 28ga game. Which gun is most common and easiest to get aftermarket accessories for?? I would probably also use it dove and pheasant hunting. I prefer autos or over/unders. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. An M2 in 28 would be awesome but we don't have that o...

I have a set that I will part with. New in the package. $35.00 plus what ever it cost to mail them to you. They were on clearance at my local bass pro. I couldn't pass them up even though I don't currently have a gun they will fit. Let me know if you want them.

Re: Over/Under Shotgun Choke setups
I run a Micro Midas Citori 20. My choke setup is a flush fit Imp. Cyl in the bottom barrel and an Indian Creek .555 in the top barrel. I also added a set of Williams Fire Sights. With the sites set at 40 yards for the Indian Creek they are also dead on at 20 for the Imp. Cyl. The Imp. Cyl at 20 yard...

Re: Best over and under 20 gauge
I have 2 browning citoris. Invector Plus chokes in both. My favorite for turkeys is a Micro Midas with 24" barrels. I have an IC .555 in one barrel and a flush improved cylinder in the other. Both barrels shoot the same POA/POI at 40. I put on some Williams Firesights that clamp on the rib. It'...

Re: M2 Jellyhead Max
I would prefer a pattern in the 275/275 range. I will mess around and miss one up close or I will have to body shoot inside 25 yards or so. Unless you guys know a way to put a scope on the little M2.

M2 Jellyhead Max
Has anyone tried the Jellyhead Max in the M2 20ga. I shot the IC555 yesterday and its crazy tight at 40. 341 in 10 and 223 in the 20. This is with 1 5/8oz of #9. The JH is a .570.

Re: Remington 1100 Stock
A wooden 870 stock will fit an 1100 but you have to ream the stock bolt hole out with a drill for the recoil spring tube to fit. It's not hard. You will see what I mean when you remove the stocks off each gun.

Re: New Red Dot Recs
I bought a cheap set of feeler gauges and cut the one I thought would be enough with a heavy duty pair of scissors and slid it under the front. It's been there 3 yrs without any trouble. It won't take much to get you where you need to be.

That's a 60+ yd pattern. I have never seen anything pattern like that. Absolutely incredible. Is there any point in polishing the bore on a benelli. I assume they are chrome lined. I will be picking one up tomorrow just in time for opening day doves on Saturday.

Re: Beretta A400
It looks as though aftermarket chokes are really difficult to find for the HP choke system that is used in the A400 guns. I think I will go with the M2 because of that and the good reviews from you guys here. Now I have a winter project working up loads and chokes for TSS next spring.

Re: Beretta A400
Thanks for the great info. Do either of them have issues with cycling low brass skeet or trap loads. I also intend this gun to be a starter for my two boys and will be used at the skeet and trap range as well as the dove field.
